The world was dark, electric blue eyes moved in the darkness, always watching; waiting. The beast lurked just outside of perception but it gave off an aura of danger. A specter dashed through the dark, it looked like it was being hunted and the feeling of being chased became more prominent. Something skulked closer and in the moment of distraction the electric blue eyes drew closer. It was an outer body experience to turn around and see a sword aimed at your neck, then six more appearing simultaneously targetting your limbs.
Moggen bolted upright in her bed, the moon streamed her light through her curtains and sweat soaked her sheets. The long onyx hair hung limply around her fingers curled into the sheets and sweat lay like a fine mist over her skin. One hand moved to touch at her neck where the feeling of steel against flesh was still fresh in her memory. Raising electric blue eyes from the bed she looked around the room, slid off the bed and out of her villa; making her way barefoot to the boardwalk. It felt oddly comforting to feel the cool boards beneath her feet, though if you asked her to describe the feeling she would be at a loss in forming a reply.

Taking the opportunity while the nightheld heat Erebus made his way to the beach. He seldom came to suchplaces the cold wind biting away at him to the bone. The beauty ofthe sea lost on him usually, his mind concerned with finding warmth. In one hand he held a rolled upcigarette, occasionally drawing it to his lips to inhale, his greyeyes staring out at the waves which for now calmly lapped at the sandbanks before him. The other hand rested inside the pocket of hisfashionably torn and faded blue jeans. With a plain black shirt he would haveblended in well with any other's all except his striking blue hairand the faded marks of a fire wielder which blemished his facialfeatures.
Watching the way the waves rippledacross the reflections of the moon he sighed quietly, lost inthought. Remembering better times, each wave meeting the shorebringing another memory to him, some almost made him smile, whileothers marked as cruel reminders of things lost. He hardly noticedthat the tide was coming in, not until it was to late a wave pouringover his feet causing him to swear rather loudly and back awayfurther up the sands towards the walk way where he would be out ofthe water's reach.

Moggen's head cocked to the side as the curse words reached her sensitive ears, she looked away from the waters towards the shores and scanned them. It was a few feet away from her that she spotted the being causing all the noise, the sweat had cooled on her skin and chilled her a little bit the hound didn't seem to mind the breeze that was beginning to pick up. Following the man with her gaze she noticed the strange markings on his face and with silent steps moved closer.
There was something unearthly about the liquid movements of the hound, a hunter seeking out prey came to mind upon seeing the fluidity with which her body moved. Her eyes glowed fiercely in the darkness, it was always constant and she knew it would catch him off-guard to a degree of shock, but she thought this one might be different. Near to him now Moggen stopped and placed her hands on the wooden rail; caught up in this new puzzle with the nightmares momentarily forgotten. "If he isn't careful he'll fall onto sharp rocks and sea creatures of the night." She addressed the male, her form of speech odd for someone her age.

Lost in his own world his eyes still upon the waves which were ever growing in intensity as the tide began to change and move inland Erebus flinched as words joined the sound of the water breaking. He had not expected someone to come so close to him in the darkness of encroaching night, not alone and especially not a young woman. Turning around his grey eyes held a hit of amber, the flames stirring within him due to the surprise which had registered with adrenaline within his body.
Looking over the girl who couldn't have been more then twenty five in appearance Erebus instantly knew there was more then meets the eye to her, he had always been able to pick out 'different beings' from humans though he had no idea what she was. “Thanks for the tip” he replied a small smile of greeting forming upon his lips. He didn't move any closer just watched her, keeping the temperature of the night ever in his mind. “Did I disturb you?”

"No." Moggen continued to watch him with rapt attention, stepping towards him carefully since it seemed he did not want to be disturbed, that had never stopped her from getting the answers she wanted and feeding her ever-curious mind. Now that she was a hairsbreath away from him she placed her hands on his shoulder, the long tapered fingers colder than the night. Like an animated corpse with no warmth whatsoever. Rising on her tiptoes she leaned closer to peer into his eyes; her head tilting left and right before a finger rose and touched the faint markings.
"What do these signify?" Lightning danced beneath the blue in her eyes, small bolts flickered wildly through her hair as the power of the Fates stirred deep within her shell's core. She knew that somewhere off in the distance in a vault in someone's jewelry shop the Philosopher's Stone was flickering with the images flashing across her mind.

The girl moved ever closer to him until her hand touched upon his shoulder, even with the material upon his shirt he could still feel the coldness of her skin, it was almost painful for him he steadied himself so not to pull away, her hand once again moving to press the markings upon his face, he couldn't help but gently move away from her this time her fingers stinging his bare skin. The bolts of electricity which responded to her touching him drew his attention away from her hands for a little while before he looked at her again his eyes now more so amber as his hands covered in a light flame which spread to parts of his body that were far enough away not to burn the girl. "They mean that I am fire" he replied. "I'm not a demon that controls it, I am it. I can make it, move it and I can destroy it" he told her feeling that there would be no threat in answering. "I don't know why, before you ask" He felt some how left open now so he posed her the same sort of question. "What are you?"

"She is composed of several substances and deities. She is lightning, fate, spring, Persephone, ashes, blood, hair but most importantly she is Cerberus." Seeing the fire come into his hands when he stepped away she stepped forward and reached out to touch the flames. First one hand and then the other, crouching to get a better look for future study. The fire seemed to burn her finger and blood began to trickled down her hand and wrist. somewhere inside her hand alarm bells went off and she jerked her finger away; studying the bloodied stub.
There was no impression of pain marring her expression, but she did use the blood to draw a circle in the sand and further complex diagrams within. Clapping her hands together she slammed the palms into the circle and an elextric blue light flaired up to engulf her plams. Lightning crackled through the sky and smaller bolts danced along her hair; and when Moggen pulled her hands back up after the light had diminished her finger was fully regrown and healed. "Does he know what pain feels like? When Moggen touched his skin he recoiled like her touch had harmed him."

His eyebrows rose in surprise as “Thatis a lot of things to be, especially for a shell so small. Does itnot feel crowded in there?” He had been around extraordinary beingsbefore so it didn't shock him, nor did he show any fear of her. Hemaybe even felt a little bit sorry for her due to the amount ofinformation she probably had running through her head at all times. He looked down seeing her touch theflames which were covering him, consuming the air around him withgreed. He thought to draw away from her as her hands began to bleedbut then he thought better of it, a creature like her would haveknown what she was doing.
As she drew her symbol and light sparksshook through the skies staining his eyes with the white for a fewseconds he stepped backwards giving her some room to do what ever shewas doing, he looked to her hands to see if she were healing herself. “Yes I can feel pain. Your handscaused me pain. They are cold”

"What does it feel like? Can he explain it without using personal emphasis?" She watched him closely, the long strands of onyx hair pooled around her shifted and not with the wind but of their own doing. "Moggen does not know what pain or pleasure are. She only exists to maintain balance."

He frowned now feeling even worse for the girl, not to be able to feel pleasure or pain would be torture. There would be no reason for anything. He bowed his head, eyebrows drawing together as he tried to work out a way to answer her. He fought for anything that could help him explain. "Pain is like a feeling within you. Makes you know you are alive though it is unwanted and horrible. To feel pain is to feel as though you are alive" He looked up at her not wanting to cause her discomfort from his words. "Can you not feel it through someone else?" He looked her over wondering how long the girl had been trapped in such a way damned to live without feeling alive.

Moggen continued to regard him with that blank expression of hers, what he was saying made no sense becauae she had no feeling whatsoever. Straightening she wiped the blood and dirt on her boxers, looking out towards the water after having heard something. "Poseidon stirs, one has already awaken and three more have come. Halflings, mutts, wind and fire clash with water." Looking back at the man she reached out with incredible speed and grabbed his hand with the one she had burned her finger with. It was warm to the touch now. Her eyes a storm of their own as the power of Fate intensified. Moggen hurried away, practically dragging Erebus away with more power than expected from such a fragile body. "Moggen can feel nothing. No urge, desire, loss. There is nothing but knowing, and knowing is all that is needed. Get him away from the shores, not safe for fire."

Being grabbed he noticed the change in her, her hand seemed hotter then it had done, he wondered if that was for his benifit or whether she had consumed some of his heat via his flames. He didn't have time to ask as she pulled him away from the shore line just in time for a large wave to sweep across the sand back that had been standing upon. Glancing back over his shoulder as he saw it break it would have soaked them through. Following her without hesitation he whistled low "Well lucky me that you were there. Thanks for that" he offered anther smile as their pace slowed back down the urgency to move away now lesser.
He let go of her hand once they were both out of harms way, he walked along side the small female as she informed him what she could feel, he couldn't help but sigh for all that she was missing. "Can that be changed? What could make you be able to feel?"

Moggen watched the male pull his hand away from hers which didn’t bother her in the least, they were out of the way of things that could harm him and that had been her intention all along. If harm was meant to come to him then she would not have been where she was, that much she had seen before their hands had even touched. It was the moment that she looked into his eyes, that was when she had foreseen everything that would come to be; but as someone who is neutral she was not meant to tell him. The only thing that bothered her – if you could call it being bothersome- was the pity in his eyes, and the way he was trying to fix her as if there was something completely wrong with how she was. “There is nothing that needs to be fixed because Moggen’s shell is not broken. What is the purpose of feeling? It is something that is reserved for the Sacks of flesh and not Moggen, there is nothing that can be done and nothing that he should try to do. He should also not pity Moggen, she is not like any of them.”

He instantly felt guilty for the tact he had taken, as soon as she responded that she was fine as she was and didn't want anything to change he nodded changing his posture to stand further say from her in case she no longer wanted to be beside her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you. I guess I just didn't understand" he formed a small apologetic smile looking her way. "Would you like me to leave?"

Moggen tipped her head to the side as he shied away from her once more, her long tapered fingers grabbed locks of her hair and brought them to her nose giving them a small sniff. "Is Moggen giving off an unpleasant smell? He continues to move further and further away from her, if that is the case he should state that Moggen smells and she will rectify the matter post haste." Carelessly letting the hair slip through her fingers she looked back up at Erebus, pondering on his words in silence. At his offer to leave she merely shook her head, the question she had been meaning to ask resurfacing now that the other distractions had gone.
"No, he can stay. She is in need of communication with others at the moment. But Moggen is curious, why is he out here near the water if it is his weakness?"

He looked at her some what puzzled as she started to sniff her hair, her words explaining why. He instantly burst into laughter having to cover his mouth so not to roar enough to attract them some attention. Once calming down he took a breath and shook his head looking over at her with an amused look his eyes sparkling it. "No, you don't smell. I was trying not to make you uncomfortable. Seems I failed"
Once he had quieted and she had asked her second question he also fell silent for a while looking out towards the dark ocean swell. "Some times no matter where you are you are weak. So being here makes no difference to me" he repiled before thinking, as soon as he said it he wished he hadn't and covered it with a smile. "I wanted to watch the waves"

"He hides something from her, Moggen can smell the sorrow coming out of the pores of his flesh. Why?"Not used to being extremely considerate or tactful, she was rather blunt about what she smelled coming off of him. She stopped trying to distinguish the state of her own personal hygiene and took a seat down on the boardwalk with her legs dangling off the edge and into the riotous water. Her arms were hanging over one of the boards, making the board lie beneath her armpits. "What is the purpose of deceiving himself and then trying to deceive Moggen? She doesn't understand why sacks of flesh hide emotions, it is inevitable they will be revealed later."

"I hide nothing from you" He replied looking at her with a puzzled gaze. Did she really expect that strangers would bare their souls to each other when only having known one another for a short period of time. In their case simpley minutes. "I simply don't go around singing my woes and worries to everyone that I come into contact with, what would be the point in that?" He moved beside the walk where she sat, he leant against the closest wall, close enough but not to close to make either of them feel crowded by the other. "I am not Deceiving you" he glanced down at himself, now his turn to question his own aroma.

She turned to watch the waves again, thinking on his words and on how she should answer them. It had turned out to be a strange night after all, and though the god of the sea was rousing, he had yet to reveal himself to any of them. "The purpose would be..." For once she seemed unsure of what she should say, her speech faltering she listened to the waves for a moment. "The purpose would be to have no secrets that can be used against him. If it is out in the circulating in the world then it is not something that will be made out to be a big event. Sacks of flesh are selfish, they will listen to his woes but in a very short amount of time they become bored and focus only on their own burdens. If he should feel the need to bring it up again then they are knowledgeable in the subject and perhaps will offer worthy discussion and solutions."
