Personality
Considered to some as a socialite Erebus is a fairly well known guy around the party circuits, thought of as the life and soul of the party he comes across as a light hearted, joker kind of bloke. Always in the middle of a prank or developing some kind of event on the whole Erebus is pretty popular.
How ever most of it is a front for thereal Erebus. A neglected soul. In his own time quiet and reflectivesometimes slightly down hearted he can have a fairly warped view on relationships especially those to do with family. If caught off guard or out of the party environment one might see a different more temperamental and volatile side to him.
Abilities
Erebus can create and control fire at will. Controlling the way it moves and its intensity. Hand in hand with its creation he also has the ability to destroy flame and consume it drawing the heat back into his own body.
Weakness
The cold. If exposed to the cold Erebus will begin to weaken and lose his abilites. If exposed to extreme cold or trapped in the cold for an extended amount of time he will run the risk of death.
Background
Raised in a poor neighbourhood by a mother barley out of her teens and half insane with crazed tales of strange men, Erebus was basically left to fend for himself and with time defend his mother from the sting of drug or alcohol dependent men she bought home over the years to earn herself some cash.
Deciding that he had put up with enough a fifteen year old Erebus freed himself from the family life he had grown to hate. Bouncing from shelter to shelter he basically just existed for the next three years until meeting Liz. His life begun again.
Getting a job the two of them found themselves a little flat and within no time Liz became pregnant giving birth to their son Noah the day before her twentieth birthday.
A doting father Erebus struggled tomake sure that Noah received everything that he did not, it meant hehad to take on more jobs and had to be away a lot.
Therefore a few months after Noah turned two he had been struck down with pneumonia. On his way to the hospital Erebus's life shattered the hospital had suffered a terrorist attack. Noah and Liz two of the fatalities.
From that moment on Erebus moved around throwing himself from event to event to keep himself busy, hiding hispain well from everyone to the point where they wouldn't even know.
In recent years Erebus settled in Lacrimosa with a vampire coven having spent some time there he took on a orphaned boy named Alex. The boy later went missing spurring Erebus on to make another move. To leave behind the pain which would otherwise engulf him.
To this day Erebus has no idea of his father, or his lineage. His ability with fire a total question markto him having never found an explanation for why he had such abilities.

Hephaestus (pron.: /hɪˈfiːstəs/, /həˈfɛstəs/ or /hɨˈfɛstəs/; 8 spellings; Ancient Greek Ἥφαιστος Hēphaistos) was the Greek god of blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, fire and volcanoes.[1] Hephaestus' Roman equivalent was Vulcan. In Greek mythology, Hephaestus was the son of Zeus and Hera, the king and queen of the gods.
As a smithing god, Hephaestus made all the weapons of the gods in Olympus. He served as the blacksmith of the gods, and was worshipped in the manufacturing and industrial centres of Greece, particularly Athens. The cult of Hephaestus was based in Lemnos.[2] Hephaestus's symbols are a smith's hammer, anvil, and a pair of tongs.
Consorts and children
According to most versions, Hephaestus's consort is Aphrodite, who is unfaithful to Hephaestus with a number of gods and mortals, including Ares. However, in Homer's Iliad, the consort of Hephaestus is a lesser Aphrodite, Charis "the grace" or Aglaia "the glorious"—the youngest of the Graces, as Hesiod calls her.[21]
In Athens, there is a Temple of Hephaestus, the Hephaesteum (miscalled the "Theseum") near the agora. An Athenian founding myth tells that the city's patron goddess, Athena, refused a union with Hephaestus because of his unsightly appearance and crippled nature, and that when he became angry and forceful with her, she disappeared from the bed. His ejaculate fell on the earth, impregnating Gaia, who subsequently gave birth to Erichthonius of Athens.[22] A surrogate mother later gave the child to Athena to foster, guarded by a serpent.
On the island of Lemnos, Hephaestus' consort was the sea nymph Cabeiro, by whom he was the father of two metalworking gods named the Cabeiri. In Sicily, his consort was the nymph Aetna, and his sons were two gods of Sicilian geysers called Palici. With Thalia, Hephaestus was sometimes considered the father of the Palici.
Hephaestus fathered several children with mortals and immortals alike. One of those children was the robber Periphetes.
