Major Olympian Gods:
Zeus – God of the sky and ruler of the Olympian gods. He is well-known for his many affairs but also for punishing those that lie or break oaths.
Hera – Wife and sister to Zeus. She was raised by the Titans Ocean and Tethys. She is a supreme goddess, goddess of marriage and childbirth. Her marriage was founded in strife.
Poseidon – God of the sea, protector of all waters. He is the brother of Zeus, married to Amphitrite and wields a Trident, which can shake the earth and shatter any object.
Hermes – The son of Zeus and Maia, he is the fastest of the gods. He is also the god of thieves and commerce. Guide for the dead when they travel to the Underworld.
Athena – The Greek virgin Goddess of reason, intelligent activity, arts and literature. She is the daughter of Zeus and is fierce and brave in battle but only wars to defend the state and home from outside enemies. She is the embodiment of wisdom, reason and purity and the favorite child of Zeus.
Hestia – Sister of Zeus, she is a virgin goddess with no distinct personality. She is the Goddess of the Hearth, and of all the Olympians is the mildest, most upright and most charitable.
Apollo – Son of Zeus and Leto, twin brother to Artemis. He is the god of music, playing the golden lyre. The Archer, far shooting with a silver bow, and god of healing who taught man medicine. The god of light and truth, who cannot speak a lie.
Artemis – Goddess of chastity, virginity, the hunt, the moon and the natural environment. The daughter of Zeus and Leto, twin sister to Apollo. She is the lady of the wild things. The huntsman of the gods and the protector of the young.
Ares – Son of Zeus and Hera. He was disliked by both parents. He is the god of war and is considered murderous, bloodstained but also a coward.
Aphrodite – Goddess of love, desire and beauty. She is the wife of Hephaestus, her favorite lover is the god of war, Ares. She represents sex, affection, and the attraction that binds people together. **See profile for Victoria**
Hades – Ruler of the underworld and the dead, he is a greedy god who is concerned with increasing his subjects. Hades is also the god of wealth due to the precious metals mined from the earth. He has a helmet that makes hi invisible.

Minor Olympian Gods:
Hestia - Goddess of the hearth and of the right ordering of domesticity and the family; she was born into the first Olympian generation and was one of the original twelve Olympians, until she gave her throne to Dionysus in order to keep the peace, making her the most generous and gentlest of the gods. She is the first child of Cronus and Rhea, eldest sister of Hades, Demeter, Poseidon, Hera, and Zeus. Also the eldest of the Olympians.
Eros- he god of sexual love and beauty. He was also worshipped as a fertility deity, son of Aphrodite and Ares. He was depicted often as carrying a lyre or bow and arrow. He is often accompanied by dolphins, roses, and torches.
Hebe - She is the daughter of Zeus and Hera. Hebe was the cupbearer for the gods and goddesses of Mount Olympus, serving their nectar and ambrosia, until she was married to Heracles.
Pan - The god of nature, the wild, shepherds and flocks, mountains, hunting, the forest, and rustic music, as well as the companion of the nymphs. The root of the word 'panic' comes from the god Pan.
Amphitrite - Queen of the Sea, wife of Poseidon.
Anemoi – Wind gods consisting of Boreas (north), Notus (south), Zephyrus (west), and Eurus (east).
Aura - Goddess of cool breezes and fresh air.
Circe - minor goddess of magic, not to be confused with Hecate.
Deimos - God of terror, brother of Phobos.
Dione – Oceanid; Mother of Aphrodite by Zeus in Homer's version.
Eileithyia – Goddess of childbirth; daughter of Hera and Zeus.
Enyo - A goddess of warfare, companion of Ares. She was also the sister of Ares in some cases. In those cases, her parents are Zeus and Hera.
Demeter – goddess of corn, grain and the harvest. She is the goddess of the earth, agriculture and of fertility in general. She is intimately associated with the seasons.
Thanatos – Greek god of Death, he is the personification of death. Not much is known about Thanatos as he became overshadowed by Hades, the lord of death.
The Graces - They are the daughters of Zeus and Eurynome. There are three Graces: Aglaia (Splendor), Euphrosyne (Mirth), and Thalia (Good Cheer). They are known for singing and dancing for the gods.
The Erinnyes – also known as the Furies, they punish crime. They pursue wrong doers relentlessly, until death, often driving them to suicide. There are three Erinnyes, Trisphone, Megaera, and Alecto.
The Fates – The Fates have a subtle but awesome power of deciding a man’s destiny. There are three Fates. Clothos – the spinner who spins the thread of life, Lachesis- the measurer, who chooses the lot in life and Atropos – she who cannot be turned, who at death with her shears cuts the thread of life.
